Lancing College wanted to break away from the “traditional boarding school” look. The school is vibrant, dynamic, and full of life, and they wanted their images to reflect that.
They needed imagery that felt as bold, aspirational, and immersive as the student experience itself.
The Strategy
We approached this like a military operation - meticulously planned, structured, and executed over five full days to ensure we captured every aspect of life at Lancing.
To create an authentic, lived-in experience, we shot across:
Academic life – Real classroom moments, student engagement, and intellectual curiosity in action.
Pastoral care – The warmth, friendships, and personal growth that define Lancing’s community.
Co-curricular activities – From sports to performing arts, showcasing the energy and ambition of Lancing students.
All against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful South Downs, with Lancing’s enchanting Harry Potteresque setting adding an undeniable cinematic quality to every single frame captured.
The Solution
We designed a dual visual approach to bring this world to life:
Immersive, storytelling-driven photography capturing real moments of student life.
High-end, stylised portraits showcasing independence, confidence, and character.
Every shot was crafted to be authentic, aspirational, and magnetic.
The Impact
A standout brand identity that sets Lancing apart in a crowded sector.
Images showcased globally, most recently in Nigeria.
Their portraits became the centrepiece of their new campaign, commanding attention at independent school fairs.
Now, their visuals don’t just represent Lancing, they define it.
